What
happens if the samples I send don't have enough DNA to
complete the test?
You seem to use the terms "DNA
test" and "paternity test" interchangeability. Are they the
same thing?
Why are your forms in HTM
format? Isn't PDF (Portable Document Format) better?
Isn't it better to collect my
samples using a " free" sample collection kit instead of using
my own supplies?
No. There is no benefit
in waiting for a "free" sample collection kit to arrive by
mail because the paperwork you download from this website, and
the supplies you gather to collect the samples (i.e., swabs)
are the same materials other companies will send you.
Sure the paperwork you receive
in a "free" kit may be on fancier paper than
the paper you use to print-out our forms, or the plastic bag
might have a logo on it instead of a Ziploc
logo, but for all intents and purposes, its the same thing.
The only thing you get extra
when waiting for a "free kit" is the wait.

How much is your paternity
test?
Our 2-Person test (1
alleged father and 1 child) costs $149. Each additional person
(extra alleged father, extra child, mother) is $89 when tested
at the same time.

Why
are your prices so low?
Because you download the paperwork and collect the samples
yourself, we don't have to pay for things like printing costs
or the cost of mailing a kit to you. By cutting our overhead,
we are able to offer the lowest price in the industry.
Is the test really 100%
confidential and anonymous?
If you follow our "Confidentiality and Anonymity" instructions throughout the paperwork, yes.
By using false names, paying via money order, and having the
results sent to a web-based email account such as Yahoo or
Hotmail, your test will remain 100% confidential and
anonymous. In
fact, WE won't even know who you are. Remember, material is
never sent to your home.
Is this test court admissible?
No.
Because you collect the samples yourself, they do not follow
the strict chain-of-custody procedures required to make the
results court admissible. For information on court
admissible or "legal" tests please contact
Legal@DNATestToday.com.

If I use a credit card, what will
your service be billed as?
Your credit card will be discreetly billed as
DTT CO or its affiliates for confidentiality.
When will I get my results?
Five business days after we received your paperwork and
samples if you pay via money order or credit card. If you pay
via personal check, it may take a couple business days longer
due to processing.
Which countries is this test
available to?
All countries! As long as payment is made in US dollars, this
test is available to anyone in the world.
Why do you stress that your test
can be started anytime - even today?
We stress this point because most paternity testing services
want you to wait several days for a "free kit" to arrive in
the mail. With our service, once you have decided to take the
test, you can start the process. Even right now,
even today.

What do you mean by a 16-marker
DNA test?
A 16-marker DNA test refers to the number of areas on the DNA
that are compared during testing. A 16-marker test compares 16
different areas of the same chromosome of DNA. A 3 or 4-marker test
only compares 3 or 4 different areas - making it less accurate
than a 16-marker test.
Why won't your lab perform a
3 or 4-marker DNA test?
Our lab views such tests as not accurate enough to render a
conclusive result.
Other companies use a FTA cards to
collect DNA. Why don't you?
Simple, it's not necessary. Collecting your DNA on
a FTA card would be appropriate if we needed to store your DNA
for 7 years, but not for a test that will be over in no more
than 7 days. Also, if we did use a FTA card, we would have to
mail you one and that would jeopardize your
confidentiality.
Some companies tell
you a FTA card is mandatory if you want the test done
correctly. If that were true, how has our lab been able to test
DNA from a bottle someone put their mouth on once?
Is collecting the
samples myself difficult?
Not at all. We provide you with the same directions that
other companies do in their "free kit" they send you by mail.
Waiting days for a "free kit" to arrive in the mail will not
make collecting the samples any easier. Also, getting a "free
kit" in the mail means less confidentiality.
How long will it take me to
collect the samples?
A 2-person test can be completed in approximately
15 minutes. Add approximately 5 minutes for each extra person
tested.
Is it necessary to test the
mother for a paternity test?
It can be done, but it's not necessary. Testing the
mother will incur an additional fee.
Can I test more than one alleged
father or child?
You can test as many alleged fathers and children
as you want.
How much is it to test an
additional person?
The cost is $89 per person when tested at the same
time.
Want kind of samples are
used for your test?
Our test uses cheek (buccal) cells.
Isn't blood better for
paternity testing?
No. Cheek cells and blood contain the same exact
DNA.

I want to use sterile cotton-tip
swabs. Where can I get them?

counter and ask for sterile cotton-tip swabs. They are very
inexpensive.

I want to use a household
cotton-tip swab such as a Q-Tip.
Is this okay?
Yes. Remember to cut-off one cotton-tip end so the
swab only has one cotton-tip. Do not touch the cotton-tip
with your finger when performing the test.

How should I send the
paperwork and samples to you (e.g., US Post, FedEx, UPS,
etc.)?
You can send your paperwork and samples to us however you want.
The sooner we receive them, the sooner we will have
your results. For the fastest possible service, use overnight
delivery.

What payment options
are available?
We accept money orders, Visa and MasterCard, personal
checks and all payment types supported by PayPal. Personal checks can delay the testing process so we
recommend money orders and credit cards.

samples.

the terms "DNA test" and "paternity test"
interchangeability. Are they the same thing?
For our purposes, yes.

Why are your forms in HTML
format? Isn't PDF (Portable Document Format) better?
PDF is better but it requires a plug-in that not
all people have. We decided to use the HTML format because
everyone can read this format and easily print it out.
